Wara de Ormaechea was born in Argentina but has lived in Barcelona since she was ten years old, and since that age has been living and resisting with her sisters in a very old house in a neighbourhood of the city. She studied art and design at the Escola Massana and specialised in Illustration. Now she works as a freelance for publishers, animations, press and has also done several projects for music bands.

From a very young age she has been surrounded by ladies, heels and lipstick as well as black and white children's books that she painted when her mother wasn't looking.
